Stop Defending and Just Say OK

I told you this place is somewhere for me to rant about work. Well what time is it 10:25, and Ms Know it All already has gotten on my nerves. I have a professional development meeting with my director today (who asked me to give her guidance and training), and I think I'm going to use the advice of my two favorite Lisa's and a) tell him that she seems "resistant to professional recommendations" then let it go and b) watch her set herself up to fall/fail!

Well like I said before she got her name simply because she thinks she knows it all. No matter what you might "suggest" or "recommend" to her, she'll either tell you "I know but..." or say "Well I did this because...." or a simple "Yeah I know already". I don't understand why folks just don't understand the meaning of the words "humble yourself". I've come to realize why being humble is so important to those who have come before us. It's not about being submissive, or being meant to feel less than your worth. It's about understanding that they have wisdom and knowledge that you need.

I need this girl to realize this is not a competition and we are not saying or doing things to break you, we're trying to build you to be the best! This life lesson is going to go so far for me.

There's so much more to this girl. I need to do a whole blog on her, but that's for another day. I'm so not going to have her steal my joy especially on Valentines day when me and JB had a great conversation.
