Well Well Well

So whenever you get a chance to read up on my old blogs over on Yahoo 360 you'll learn of the character I call "The Gay AA". Now I won't get into detail about why I call him that (no he's not technically gay) but let's just say he should've never been hired.

Just a little background - he and Napoleon both got hired when the Red Dragon was on her way out. I personally think she had something to prove, as if to say "this company is nothing without me and I'll prove it!", and that's why she hired two completely unqualified people, didn't train them well, and left us (one of the biggest centers in our division) to fail!

And fail we did. Well it's 2008, and we got some changes happening which (although I might be eating my words later) I feel are for the better. For starters, I went out to LI for 6 months last year, started the buzz/relationship with the center/business of our division out there. I was literally Ms. Long Island and it helped the business tremendously. I also hated it terribly (I think that was all apart of the horror of the 007). Luckily I'm a decent person, so although the person I didn't chose got hired, I still trained him, and EXTREMELY well (excuse as I finally accept my praise that had been thrown around by my higher ups). He turned out to be a better fit in Long Island (as he's a native LI man, and I'm a straight up no nonsense city girl), and that business is now doing so great, I couldn't be prouder of my stress, strife, and accomplishment.

Next we got a new director, Mr. Man (How You Doin - ALRIGHT!). As much as I don't trust him, or care for him, I will say, PROFESSIONALLY, he's a darn good director. I was nervous at first as to how he would fit in, but as it turns out, he knows how to do this job. He knows how to talk to people, how to appease people, how to build relationships, and how to run a business.

Moving on, Do Better has a new title/role, and I must say because of this new role, not only is she able to help our business grow, she's also, DOING BETTER! I might actually have to come up with a new name for her.

Lastly there's Ms. Know it All. Been here for literally 5 weeks (according to her she's been here two months, but whatever). She's incredibly annoying, thinks she knows better than anyone, never wants to take the advice of those that have come before her, but she has good vision. And because of her annoying persistence she has a passive aggressive way of getting things done. She reminds me A LOT of the Red Dragon.

Now why did I say all of that, clearly the Gay AA is still here right - WRONG!!!! Do Better and I have been hinting for quite sometime that his job requirements need to be outlined for him once again, and as of yesterday, Mr. Man told him that we'll be looking for someone to replace him since we need to "cut down on hours and have someone that can come on a consistent basis". Like I said, Mr. Man, knows how to run a business, because as much as she complained about it and "talked to him" Napoleon never could accomplish that conversation.

So he's on his way out. I am hurt however that our night time guy who's been with us for 7 years is getting the boot also, but I feel comforted in knowing that they're going to try to find something that is a better fit for him. It sucks though, because before the Red Dragon left she cut so many of our much needed part timers hours and now we're going to go from 3 part timers to one.

Wow - change, sometimes can be a catch 22
